A TWIST IN THE TALE

Tuesday, September 12, 2017

The Norwegian Ibsen Theatre Festival comes back to Mumbai, this time in its fourth season. Celebrating the work of legendary playwright, Henrik Ibsen, veteran actress and singer Ila Arun adapts his five-act drama, Peer Ghani, and recreates the play in an Indian setting. Set in Kashmir, this theatrical masterpiece is supported by a vibrant ensemble cast that brings alive the raw emotions as it takes you on a journey of the anti-hero Peer’s life, from his effervescent youth to his ailing twilight years. Having seen multiple shows and several encores, the play is back again, to tug at your heart strings and leave you wanting for more. Directed by K. K. Raina, and presented by Surani in collaboration with Royal Norwegian Consulate General and Antardhwani Productions, this is a must-see for theatre enthusiasts and budding playwrights.
