Last year, we told you about Crown Vet’s first branch in the city, in Mahalakshmi. Jagruti Verma steps into their new space in Khar to tell you why it should be your first choice for your furry friends, if you live in and around the area
Bringing international pet care for dogs and cats to town was on Crown Vet’s agenda last year when they opened their Mahalakshmi branch. And, nothing much has changed with their newest branch in Khar. However, the services and consultation they provide are a lot more personalised here. Much smaller than the first, we wondered why they opened it in this particular area, and were quickly told that the motive behind the second space was to build a clinic-like atmosphere rather than one that resembles a hospital.
The new clinic focuses on high quality consulting care, with services such as routine consultations, pathology, nutrition, diet advice and vaccinations taking centre stage. With two consultation rooms and a bath area for pets, the clinic may not be equipped for major surgical procedures, but we were told that the vets at both branches stay connected about such cases since the files are accessible at both clinics. If need be, the pet is referred to the Mahalakshmi clinic, which is open for emergencies all year round.
Near the reception area, there are various retail pet care and medicinal products available that pet owners can purchase. The idea is to have a place that gives your pet all the love and care they need, under one roof. Apart from curing sick pets, they also counsel guardians to make them more aware of their pet’s needs and proper care rituals.
The blue and white interiors with cute paw designs painted all over the walls will calm you and your pets down in a matter of minutes! We loved how spectacularly clean the space was and that the staff members were all smiles. If we had a pet, we wouldn’t think twice about bringing them into this cosy space.
