Monday, December 04, 2017

Respected all, I, Pradeep Ananthakrishnan Iyer, a resident of Chembur, wish to thank you heartily for reviving the letters page. 1987 was the year I began contributing to the letters page from the age of 21, and at 51 not out, it feels great to write again in your 32nd year of success as the best morning newspaper of today. Afternoon has grown to a place of strength due to contributions made by so many readers like me who wrote with passion on your Letters Page. Fortunate to have the glory back in the last month of December 2017! Wishing you all the very best and God bless each one of you in the month of Christmas 2017, with this section getting a fantastic return to the ADC once again. Hats off and keep all the readers glued every single day. Lucky to be associated with The Afternoon D&C.

I have been not only your reader for over 30 years but have also contributed in the form of letters and articles to Afternoon. In fact, I had an opportunity to be part of it, when Late Shri A. B. Nair was Editor and I used to contribute a column for Campus Notes (City). However, of late, I found that 'Letters to Editor' which was a full page had gone off the issue; it felt that readers feedback had lost its charm. In fact, for that matter any feedback from the customers helps in improving the product/services. I am very happy to note that you have now decided to revive the letters at least thrice a week if not daily. Congrats for keeping open the line of communication with the readers. I look forward to the day when it will be come back daily.
