Trolling of Gurmehar Kaur

Universities are for imparting education and politics at campuses where students go to learn is bad for the development of the nation. It is really shocking to learn that an army martyr daughter, 20 - year - old Gurmehar Kaur has been threatened with rape only because she raised her voice against student organisation ABVP. Most student organisations are affiliated to political parties which use such groups for their own political agenda which is not just bad but shameful.
Ministers should keep out of such organisations and concentrate on their work towards the development of the nation. Getting involved in petty politics on campuses clearly shows various political parties' vested interest which needs to be condemned. Many students in such organisations are 35 plus in age which means that these student groups are not for voicing the concerns of students in campuses but taking the political ideas of national political parties forward. Students remain in colleges on paper by joining some absurd course or doing PHD (which they never complete) & this is an eye-wash.
Time for the courts to intervene and one way is to show a red flag for political motives. Put an age cap of 25 for student group membership and most of illegal activities would automatically be terminated. Gurmehar Kaur's bold step of taking on the muscle power in student organisations deserves applause.
