Pet hospital on public demand

Friday, February 09, 2018

After a demand from the public, Mumbai will have a swanky veterinary hospital and pet crematorium under the control of the BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation). So, the pet animals will have a leg-up and will get the medicare under a registered hospital of the government. Again, the city had only one crematorium for animals run by a NGO, and now will have one more under the care of the BMC. As environmental clearance is required for a crematorium, the new one will operate on Compressed Natural Gas and ensure a pollution free environment. This facility will be offered for free, thus the pets will have better care when they become sick and when it is dead after an ailment or due to old age. It is the right step in the right direction.
