Painless death finally a reality!

Monday, March 12, 2018

'Euthanasia' would no longer be considered as illegal and the Supreme Court operation which allows terminally ill patients with no hopes of recovery to die in peace should be welcomed by all. I have personally seen a near and dear friend of mine in a vegetative state in absolute pain struggle to meet his date with destiny, but the SC judgement is a welcome decision that allows the right to die with not just dignity but peacefully as well. Even the medical fraternity were divided on 'Euthanasia' as you get to 'live' only once but death too is a celebration where the soul is transferred to a heavenly abode and the journey is meaningful if it is not painful. The decision is also a welcome relief to family members of the sufferer as believe me, they are more at pain than the actual patient to see a dear one go through hell. The Government should open a special cell with minimum paper work but with maximum caution to see that no wrongdoing takes place to avoid controversies in such type of deaths!
