International Women’s Day

Thursday, March 09, 2017

Every year March 8 is celebrated as International Women's Day to honour women for their achievements. It is observed that nowadays many women choose to remain single as they have realised that only economic independence can empower them. Women have come a long way in all spheres of life which were once considered exclusive male bastions. There are many successful women journalists, lawyers, pilots, astronauts, police officers, film personalities, politicians, writers, CEOs and what not. Women are competing shoulder-to-shoulder with men in all areas. They want to come forward and contribute in building a new and progressive India. It is the need of the hour to encourage their participation in the decision making at home, in the community and at the national level. Without a woman, a man cannot come into this world. Behind every successful man, there is a strong, wise and hardworking woman. Here's wishing 'Happy Women's Day' to all.
