George Michael passes away. His song “Last Christmas” ( I gave you my heart) is a classic. This Christmas he gave it away. The legendary pop singer we grew up listening to is no more. He broke lots of records. His Careless Whispers was called tuneless whispers by critics before its release, but it became an enormous hit. He wrote this song when he was 17. One of my friends had recorded this one song on both A and B sides in a audio cassette those days. Yes, the whole cassette was only this song so that he need not rewind it every time as those days there was no CD available… Unfortunately George was hooked on to drugs and this could have been the reason for his untimely death. George was instrumental in making us start crooning particularly at Karaokes. Favourite songs: Wake me up, Freedom, Last Christmas, Careless Whispers, Don’t let the sun go down on me (duet with Elton John) , I'm your man, If you were there…and so many more
George Michael made us fall in love again and again…and also the break ups were handled musically by him and helped many of us. Rest in Peace.
