The Wizdom of make in India

Saturday, February 13, 2016

There are no retakes in the events business… everything has to be perfect the first time around.

Afternoon DC spoke to Viraf Sarkari, Director, Wizcraft about the role of Wizcraft in the curation and execution of the Make in India Week that is to take place in the city today. Wizcraft has in the past managed big ticket and large format events for the Government and extremely well reputed firms across India. Viraf speaks of their approach to yet another landmark event…            Make in India 2016.

Another big government event, how does it feel?
It is a lot of pressure. Expectations are extremely high for our delivery. Wizcraft has done a lot of big events and this is also extremely large for us, especially since we are doing multiple events at different locations and also back to back!

The Make in India Week is a prestigious event for us and the Wiz Team is excited and passionate about being a part of it.  Over 100 Wizes are working across venues to make it all come together and happen!

Why do you think Wizcraft is the Agency of choice for such large format events.
It is not that we are the agency of choice. There is an open tender and we pitch for it. We pitch with our creativity and our ideas. You must remember, these are very highly reputable events and so obviously they look into the credentials of the company while choosing an event partner. A lot of experience is required.

Unlike in a movie or a TV show… these are no retakes in the Events Business… you just have got to do it in one go and make sure your system is tight and secure.

All in all I would say we won the bid based on our creativity, credentials and skill.

Once we were on board a couple of months back, the planning began immediately.

You have always spoken about how proud you are to represent and have Indian talent on board. Isn’t this then the perfect representation of it?
Wizcraft is truly made in India. We are very happy and proud to be associated with the Brand Make in India. We are made in India and we are always promoting India globally and creating spectacular experiences. We are proud to be an Indian company and proud to be associated with the Make in India project and the Magnetic Maharashtra project as well.
