Prerna Wanvari avoids oily and fattening foods and prefers a home-cooked meal

A known face that has featured in Bandini and Koi Ane Ko Hai, among many other popular serials, Prerna Wanwari has been in the television and film industry for over a decade. She has endorsed hundreds of brands, such as Air Arabia and Cadbury and starred alongside Akshay Kumar. She has also been a presenter at the Emmy Awards Gala in 2012. Being active in the field, fitness is a must for her and Prerna takes it seriously. Here are her routine and regime.

How do you maintain a fitness regime despite shooting schedules?

On shoot days, I try to eat everything right on the set. I eat everything in moderation. I avoid oily and fattening foods.

What is your favourite form of workout?

Pilates at the Pilates studio in Mumbai. Yoga every day and meditation. For cardio, I prefer dancing over running.

What kind of diet do you follow?

I eat mostly home-cooked food. Early morning, two glasses of warm water with a few drops of lemon, turmeric powder and cinnamon powder is a must. A smoothie - kale and baby spinach and an apple, or karela with orange and watermelon or amla juice or kiwi, with cucumber are some of the combinations I have. Home-cooked food means sabji, dal, roti and salad. Coconut water is a must every day. I don't exceed two cups of tea or coffee in a day. I avoid sugar as much as possible, and try to stay hydrated all day. I try to eat fish twice a week at least.

Fittest body in the movie business today

I like Jacqueline Fernandez's body if you mean aesthetically looking fit.

How do you plan your cheat days?

I don't cheat. I just don't. If at all, I eat cake, chocolates and mutton (red meat which I prefer to avoid). That's the only way I cheat.
