We all have known Ankit Bathla as Dhruv Pandey of Thapki Pyaar Ki or Madhav of Neta hi Chaiye or the antagonist from Tu Sooraj, Main Sanjh Piyaji. He will also be soon seen in a French film and a web series called Love, Lust and Confusion. The actor has a fit body and is very fitness-conscious. The heart-throb of television shares his fitness routine:

Fitness routine I personally don’t like going to the gym. I opt for different alternatives like cycling, dancing, and cross-fit. Dancing especially is fun as it is very energetic and gives a great adrenaline rush. I do go to the gym because my profession demands it, but it’s not my personal preference.

The diet I follow I am Punjabi, therefore love for food is a given. I follow simple and basic rules like avoiding eating carbs post sunset. I also make sure that some days in a week I completely cut off carbs and the rest of the days I consume it; it helps me maintain balance.

How to avoid sweets I am fortunate that I am not fond of sweets or have a sweet tooth. I am fond of only a couple of sweets like cheesecake and some Indian desserts and if I am kept away from them I am sorted.

Opinion on health bars I carry one with me especially during shoots to satiate my hunger pangs. It is better than eating instant noodles or junk food. However, I am not too sure how good it is for daily consumption. There are a lot of products in the market, but their nutritious value needs to be checked.

Most fit celebrity I think both Deepika and Ranveer have the fittest bodies in the business. Apart from them, Akshay Kumar is an evergreen fitness role model. I had a chance of interacting with him once and I realised his body is so fit because he is very disciplined about his fitness routine and is particular about his diet.
