Quick quiz to know yourself

Besides the occasional manicure and pedicure, most of us take the health of our nails for granted. Sunny Rodricks suggests that you take this quiz to find out if your nails are healthy

b) No.

2. Do you experience swelling or pain around your nails?

a) Yes.

b) No.

3. Are there dark spots beneath your nails?

a) Yes.

b) No.

4. Has the shape of your nails changed recently or have your nails become curly?

a) Yes.

b) No.

5. Do you often wear tight shoes without socks?

a) Yes.

b) No.

6. Are your nails primarily pinkish with a white crescent curve at the ridge?

a) No.

b) Yes.

Mostly As If the colour of your nails has changed or you see a dark spot beneath your nails, you are probably not looking after them as much as you should. Discolouration, white nails or pale nails are signs that all is not well with your health. While your nail-biting might seem like a common issue, it may cause your fingertips to turn red and sore, and lead to your cuticle bleeding. To remedy the situation, keep your nails dry and clean, and cultivate the practice of good nail hygiene.

Mostly Bs You are well versed with your nails and keep them healthy and hygienic. There are chances that you already know that habits such as nail-biting, or that pale or yellow nails, are signs to heed. However, use a moisturiser to take good care of your fingernails and cuticles. Also, always keep your nails short and trimmed. Besides maintaining and cleaning your nails regularly, ensure that the clippers and any nail grooming equipment that you use is clean and dry.
