Indian fashion designers created a flutter at the Asian Designer Week (ADW), winter edition at Garden of Five Senses in the capital. The opening show saw New Gen Asian designer Swati Mishra present high fashion for all body types, ensuring fit and comfort. Salil Bhatia called his collection ‘Pandora’s Box’ which was a tribute to the legendary fashion designer Alexander McQueen. Nandita Bist’s line was based on unconventional combination of materials, while the collection by Puja Pandey wowed the packed house. Other designers included Nazila Sawhney, an Afghan-born Canadian, who presented vintage, ethnic Afghan inspired looks, Sarah Farhana, Next Gen designer from Bangladesh with six different creations and New Gen Asian designers from Bangladesh including Wallis Ahmad Chowdhary and Ashikur Rahman Chowdhary. Also making waves was the International School of Design Eco Fashion and Dysn Bloom Talents comprising designers Komal Arora, Mallika Batra, Sonam Ghale, Aksar Bhan and Dolly Nagpal.
