The textures of Tamil cuisine came alive at the Sunday Tamil fest by Neha Kannan at WTF. The choices for international food are abundant but there are very few places one can go for an authentic Tamil meal. To fill this gap, Neha, wife of renowned TV and radio host and master of ceremonies at many an occasion Siddharth Kannan, curated ‘Virundhu.’ Relishing the six starters and eight main course items were the likes of Pooja Bedi, Divya Dutta, Kirti Khullari, Baba Sehgal, Shama Sikander, James Milliron, Tanaaz and Bakhtiyar Irani, Amita and Raghav Sachchar, Mickey Mehta, Varun Sharma and Shalini Thackeray. Coconut, tamarind, herbs and spices typical of Tamil Nadu were in use. Adai dosa, Avial and Sundal were enjoyed. And you leant that Neha, a Marwari, born in Chennai is married to a Tamil Brahmin and has a degree in hotel management with a wide range of work experience.
