Looking lovely was Pooja Chopra who was the stunning showstopper at Asif Merchant’s show at IBFW. His collection was based on three segments: one more of resort style, second an adventurous style inspired from sports and third high fashion inspired by the Volkswagen Tiguan car. Next in line was Ken Ferns with his ‘Fernweh’ collection, a ‘find your tribe’ show steeped in influences from tribes that intrigue the designer. What you witnessed were glimpses of Aztec, Zulu, Mayan, Mexican, Indian and Persian tribes and their art with an amalgamation of these tribes coming together to create a one-of-a-kind psychedelic look. It is the vibe that makes your tribe, your people and your space. To showcase this spirit, the designer developed some snazzy prints and the silhouettes were bold, head-turning, attractive, gutsy and glamorous. Yes, the clothes were definitely not for the faint-hearted. And the star showstopper was Terence Lewis.
