Smooth sailing

Saturday, August 05, 2017

It was smooth sailing all the way at the Lotus Room of the Trident as Costa Cruises, Europe’s No. 1 cruising company, announced its shorter three and four nights sailings in Indian waters from November. Yes, it was nice to note that now you can embark on a short luxury cruise from Mumbai to Kochi or Kochi to Maldives. Of course, the seven-night Mumbai to Maldives and seven-night Maldives to Mumbai option is still there. Costa neoClassica is the ship deployed for this cruise. Nalini Gupta, MD, Lotus Destinations, representative of Costa Cruises in India, was happy to announce this and everyone lauded her for her efforts to promote cruise holidays in the Indian market and to make these short cruises a reality. Present at the happy announcement were Tourism Minister Jaykumar Rawal and Sanjay Bhatia, chairman, Mumbai Port Trust among others connected with the tourism, hospitality, Mumbai and Maharashtra sectors.
