Terrific tasting was in store for lucky guests at 6 Degrees, the bar at The Leela, as Progressive Hebridean Distillers presented a tasting of Bruichladdich, since 1881, the single malt popularly known as the classic Laddie. First, it was time to sip and savour The Botanist, that fine artisinal dry gin, enjoyed at any time of the day, a result of progressive exploration of the botanical heritage of the Isle of Islay with 22 hand-foraged local botanicals. Famed mixologist Yangdup Lama was present to guide guests on a tasting trip that they would never forget. Prarrthona Pal Chowdhury of Remy Cointreau, bar specialist Shatbhi Basu and bartending ace Feruzan Bilimoria were present. After The Botanist, it was time to sip and savour the unpeated single malt Laddie, smooth as a pebble in a pool, clean and fresh and lively. Yes, the cheer was well and truly on.
