Foodies are still talking about the Food Lovers’ Grand Food and Wine Showcase at Sofitel Mumbai BKC. It was a splendid nine-course celebration of food and wine. Nine of the city’s most talented chefs from Mumbai’s finest restaurants showcased fine dining, luxury gastronomy and a spectacular celebration of exotic food and handpicked wines. This was a first-of-its-kind event with 80 guests including top hospitality professionals and gourmet aficionados in attendance. Guests witnessed nearly 50 chefs and a service team of 25 highly talented Sofitel professionals who had plated 729 plates and poured 810 glasses of wine drawing from 12 varietals and 10 appellations. Chefs included Vinay Baluni, David, Shadab Ahmed Qureshi, Toshiyuki Okabe, Amninder Sandhu, Sudarshan Sawant, Roberto Zorzoli, Manav Koul and f Dhwani Agarwal. Present were Biswajit Chakraborty, GM, Sofitel Mumbai BKC and Kripal Amanna, publisher and managing editor, Food Lovers and the creative force behind this superb showcase.
