Fresh fashion came to the fore as International Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) celebrated Ivana 2017, an annual fashion show by the graduating students, at Four Points by Sheraton. The themes of the collections included transitions of Mother Nature like the seasons and transformation of a moth into a butterfly, laser cutting, bright and spunky colours of spring, pinch of bohemian influence on garments like jumpsuits, influences from marine life, safari wear, royal silhouettes, asymmetrical shapes and inspirations from origami. It’s nice to note that the students also created a line of maternity gowns with pastel colours and light fabrics with embroidery embellishments. Amruta Fadnavis was the chief guest and also making their presence felt were Imam Siddique, Kanwaljeet Singh, Neelam Pawar, Elakshi Gupta, Pallavi Koli, Nishank Sainani, Smirti Chaturvedi, Mitali Ambekar and Vandana Bhardwaj. And looking happy indeed were Ashok Daryani, MD, INIFD Vashi and centre head Ria Daryani.
