Fashion passion

Monday, January 09, 2017

The buzz was on as Vogue international editor Suzy Menkes visited The Indian School of Design and Innovation (ISDI) Mumbai, in association with the Parsons School of Design, New York, for a stimulated session on fashion with Vogue Indian fashion features director Bandana Tewari. Suzy’s articles and reports appear on 20 international Vogue websites in 13 languages, reaching a total audience of over 38 million. Frank, fearless and free from editorial constraints, she has built a reputation for having a strong and independent point of view. ISDI reiterated its commitment to providing their students with global exposure and standard of education as the fashion design students engaged in an enriching talk and interaction with Suzy. Happy indeed were Radha Kapoor, founder and executive director, ISDI and Siddharth Shahani, co-founder and executive director, ISDI. Trends, politics, gender fluidity, counterfeits, sustainable fashion and the impact of social media on fashion were discussed.
