For Mannat Atwal, after spending almost a decade designing for Benetton and Diesel, finding her own wings has been inspired by the conviction of the two big founders she has worked with. Mannat, who has just launched her brand House of Behram, counts meeting Luciano Benetton at Treviso and Renzo Rosso at Breganze in Italy as her big highlights. Luciano constantly inspired her to bring colour into her designs and Renzo Rosso saw the market need of reinventing used denims. Mannat has now incorporated all her learning, be it exquisite fabric or interesting cuts, into her brand DNA of androgyny and athleisure. Mini Mathur was spotted sporting the House of Behram bag from an exhibit recently. Mannat is showcasing her spring summer line at The Trunk Show – Style for a Cause at the Vintage Garden, Patkar Bungalow, Turner Road, Bandra, till today where proceeds of the sale go towards charity.
