Given a warm welcome at Korner House was Oneil Carlier, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Officer, Alberta. He was there to partake in a lovely luncheon orchestrated by celebrity chef Vicky Ratanani. Helping the chef in a food demonstration using fresh and healthy ingredients was the minister who donned an apron. Guests got a taste of that, followed by a main course that included Indian salmon (rawas) and delightful dessert. Sangria and chilled beer did the rounds among the guests who were delighted to get a taste of Alberta in Canada. You heard that restaurants in Calgary and Edmonton have all the ingredients needed to make a love connection. Yes, it was felt that it would be nice to enjoy a long, lingering meal with candlelight and perhaps a bottle of wine, a sure-fire recipe for romance. Also present at the luncheon was Tara Scheurwater, Canadian Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner.
