I am TYBSc Physics student, but I am not interested in studying Physics further. I want to do something in the media field, especially TV. What are my options?
- Shailendra Chowdhary

The TV media industry offers many openings whether in front of the camera or behind the camera. The range of channels from Entertainment to sports to News offer many opportunities to youngsters. You need to figure out whether you want to act, direct, handle technical side such as camera, editing, cinematography and so on or host a TV show or become a writer. Whichever field you plan to take up, ensure that you are proficient in languages – both written and verbal, and have the required creative bent of mind. Once you decide ona specific area, a Post graduation course could be taken up or start working as an assistant to gain insight into the field.

I'm thinking to go for diploma of textile designing after 12th. But I don’t know exactly where I could get jobs.

There are options for textile designers in Design studios, Textile mills, Export houses, Textile dyeing and printing units, Fashion garment houses, Cottage industries, small scale industries or even you can start something on your own.
