Alisha Mashruwala is a Partner at OnCourse and a Harvard graduate, and is also a Psychology major with a minor in Economics

I have completed my ISC Board Grade XII exams. Though my aggregate percentage is 82%, I’ve scored only 67% in Maths. I am interested in applying for Economics to the UK. Am I eligible to apply?
- Praveen Shukla

The most important part of your UK Undergraduate application is your Grade XII result. For most programs, an aggregate 82% is a good score. However, most Economics based programs will require Higher Grades in Maths to be eligible for application. There are several colleges in the UK in which Students who have achieved between 60% - 75% (Central Board) or 65% - 80% (State Boards) may be considered for entry onto the Foundation Programmes.  Alternatively, please send an email to your university asking for a confirmation of their requirements.

Test Scores: SAT/ACT scores as well as any SAT Subject Tests, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate you may have taken.

TOEFL/IELTS exam.
Essay prompts that are released in September every year.

Letters of recommendation: You should not submit letters of recommendation for the UC application. However, some campuses/majors may require letters of recommendation as part of a supplemental application review.
