My daughter is studying in Grade 11 in IB Board. Her main subjects are Maths, Physics and Visual Arts. She wants to study Architecture in the US. What will she require for application?

The Undergraduate Architecture is known as the B. Arch program. Application to the B. Arch program consists of a basic undergraduate application along with the Architecture school application which has the Portfolio Requirements. The Basic Undergraduate Application consists of:

  • Online Application & Fees
  • Official Transcripts
  • Three Academic Recommendation Letters
  • SAT/ACT score
  • TOEFL/IELTS score
  • Portfolio: The portfolio plays an important role in a B.Arch application. It is a personal statement about your visual training, interest, aspirations and you. It should include:
  • a brief statement outlining your interest in the field of architecture
  • 12-24 high-quality reproductions of your best
  • Artistic Statement: Several college applications may also require an Artistic Statement in which you talk about your Artistic achievements as well as goals.

I am currently studying in Grade-12. I am planning to apply to the UK for B.A in Development Studies later this year. I am planning to apply to Oxford University. I have heard that there are two deadlines for applying for Undergraduate studies to the UK. When should I apply for admission?

Applications for the B.A in Development Studies to the UK goes through the UCAS.  When you apply to through the UCAS the ordinary application deadline is 15th January. But if you are applying to Oxford or Cambridge, the UCAS deadline is October 15th. It means that the deadline for all colleges will also become October 15th.

My son wants to study Masters in Business Design from Domus Academy in Italy. His undergraduate background is in Economics. Can you please explain to us what the program includes and how it will help him in future career building?

The Master in Business Design program at Domus Academy helps prospective student build new connections between the worlds of business and design. They will work on projects related to the business of design and the design of business. The inter-disciplinary program focuses on how to apply design culture, methodology and sensitivity to a wide range of businesses, including established enterprises, large, medium and small, and start-ups. Students will understand design-driven management strategies as they learn to draft plans for business development, branding, marketing, and communication for the whole company as well as for specific product lines and new ventures. Graduates from the Master in Business Design can pursue managerial careers in cross-functional roles, such as Brand and Communication Strategists, Design and Innovation Managers, Business Developers, in design-driven companies, branding agencies or consulting and service companies or start their own business.
