Neha Jagtiani launches book on advertising

The book launch function of ‘Stratification of Advertising in Sliced Community’ authored by Dr Neha Jagtiani, vice principal, R.D. and S.H. National College, was held on the morning of 25th September, 2018 at R.D. and S.H. National College. The book was released by the hands of the renowned Indian Film Director and Producer, Ashu Trikha and the program received an over-whelming response.

A known name in Mumbai academia, Dr Jagtiani’s second book ‘Stratification of Advertising in Sliced Community’ is on a subject that cuts across all classes, all communities, all sections of our society. India is a multi-diverse and a multi-lingual society which consists of rich, poor, urban, rural, different classes and so on. The challenge is to make that one advertisement which appeals to all sections of society and cuts across all barriers. She has looked into the subject matter with great passion and has created this book with detailed explanation in a simplified manner.  It is an apt book for the makers of advertisements to understand the psychology of the Indian consumers and create an advertisement that will appeal to all sections of the society. It is a very valuable resource for the teachers and students of Advertising and professionals associated with companies.

Trikha, in his address, underlined the important place of advertisement in our lives saying, “Consumer has the right to choose, but Advertisement has the right to inform what to choose.” At the end of the programme, Trikha, the students, and the teaching and the non-teaching staff present for the book launch, congratulated Dr Jagtiani on her huge success and wished her all the best for future endeavours.
