Missouri State University invites Indian students for UG program in Arts and Design
The Department of Arts and Design (A+D) of Missouri State University (MSU) invites applications for undergraduate programs from our country. This department adds to students' creative and performance skills and grooms them to be efficient and successful professionals. Specifying on the benefits of studying in MSU, Colonel Stephen Robinette Associate Vice President of International Programs, MSU, said, "MSUA+D is committed to providing a quality curricular experience to prepare individuals for careers in art, design, art, education and art history as well as to developing culturally aware, independently minded and imaginative leaders by educating the next generation of creative thinkers."
Any student with a (10+2) certificate in senior secondary education with high GPA, ACT score of 24 or SAT score of 1180 and IELTS score of 5.5 or TOEFL score of 61. The session of the program will start in mid-August 2017 and the duration of the course will be four years. The tuition fees for the complete course is approximately US$12000.00 i.e., Rs 8,029,11.

‘STAR STATUS’ for SIES College!
The SIES College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Sion (west), has been awarded ‘Star Status’ by the Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi for its seven Departments- Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology & Computer Science with a grant of Rs. 5 lakh for each department and an additional 2 lakh per year per department. A total of Rs. 77 lakh has been granted to the college for a period of 3 years. Reportedly, this is the highest grant recieved by any college in Mumbai for this year.
Indian scholarship recipients head to New Zealand
Nine Indian tertiary students head to New Zealand (NZ) shortly after winning prestigious New Zealand Excellence Awards (NZEA) to study at NZ’s world class universities. NZEA is a unique initiative by the universities there and Education New Zealand to encourage ambitious and capable Indian students to study at world class universities in NZ. They are the first cohort of NZEA awardees to travel to NZ after the awards were launched. It aims to offer opportunities to ambitious Indian students to experience the safe welcoming culture in NZ whilst studying at universities which feature in the top three per cent of the world. This scholarship scheme offers a commitment of over Rs.75 lakhs to the Indian students to pursue excellence in the fields of business, fashion and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related programmes at all of New Zealand’s universities. Most awardees are post graduate students and will pursue an interesting range of programmes like environment management, treasury management, information security and digital forensics, geological sciences, design, oenology and viticulture.
