What happens in these learning outcomes?
The unique 7S Analysis measures the in-depth and continual assessment of academic performance of each student in the campus. It is a proprietary statistical model which is a pre-emptive evaluation tool. This helps to map the results of students in all spheres of learning and on the basis of the analysis, the teachers evaluate and execute action plans to ensure that every child is taken to the next level of competency.
The assessments are differentiated and graded in such a way to measure the students’ potential against the learning outcomes. The data received is used to enhance student achievement and also acts as a learning tool for the educators to improve the curriculum motivating them to create more challenging tasks.
Is it the need of the hour or is it really required for a long run?
With disruptive technology and artificial intelligence beating humans in this constantly evolving world, introducing learning outcomes in early childhood can have bigger return on investment than almost any other educational intervention. Does this involve the state board as in Maharashtra, till today, the majority of students goes by the state board education pattern.
The Indian government is pushing the agenda of providing skilsets to the Indians to be market-ready. The Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley in his Budget 2017-18 emphasized on the need for measuring learning outcomes. The Union government is also set to devise a method to measure learning outcomes of children at school level; emphasis will be given on science education and flexibility in curriculum to promote creativity through local innovative content.
I’m sure that state board is moving gradually in that direction under the guidance of these directives and this will surely be a key practice followed by all boards in the next few years.
This is such a huge idea and organization. Have you thought about collaborating with the government for wider support and benefits?
