UP police shoot criminals dead

Wednesday, March 14, 2018

UP police shoot criminals dead. CM Yogi approves. Is the democratic system operating in Uttar Pradesh? Those who commit crimes are not arrested, charges are not framed against them and they are not produced in court? In chief minister Yogi’s regime, encounters between the criminals and the police take place and the criminals are shot dead. Without encounters also, criminals are killed. In Yogi's rule, there could be place for spiritualism. Maybe in chief minister Yogi's rule, what works is spiritualism and not democracy. It is clear there is an understanding between the chief minister and the police. The total killings by the police in just a few months has gone up to 89. The party permits this slaughter. Mr. Yogi thinks there is nothing wrong in it. May be he thinks this way of criminal justice will keep peace in the state. But then, there was a king of the past, a historical ruler who is being hailed as a tyrant, a monster.
Aurangzeb is now hailed as a historical monster. People do not believe that he belongs to that class. What the Yogi wants to achieve in the state is good. He does not have a heart like Aurangzeb but the UP police seem to have. The police are using the "go-ahead" they have got and launched a war against criminals.
