More action needed against rapists

Friday, April 13, 2018

TWO gang-rape cases took place, one in Jammu and Kashmir and other in UP. Involved in one of them was a BJP MLA. When informed about it, Chief Minister Mufti said action would be taken. BJP President Amit Shah avoided to answer the question. In the gang-rape, an eight year-old child was exposed to a big spell of torture and then killed. They are still talking about FIRs against the BJP rapist. The authorities both in the state and the country do not seem to be much concerned. The rapist is trying his best to escape going to jail. He appears to be getting some support from some quarters. They appear to be taking a long time in thinking about sending the rapist to jail. It all perhaps depends on what Mufti does.

The murder of a human has taken place and they are still thinking about whether the maniac criminals have to be punished or not.

What is a matter of horror is more gang rapes are taking place. Maybe they find them more safe. With numbers on their side, the criminals may also find chances of punishment less. This may also be regarded as a new form of kick.

What is apparent is that the police confrontation with rapists is not over. They have to begin in real earnest because the menace is growing. What is needed is countrywide action. Rapes are increasingly taking place all over the country.
