'Modi magic' will win in 5 states polls

Tuesday, October 09, 2018

IN pre-poll projections, all the five states which are going to the polls will have higher and good support for the Congress party. In Madhya Pradesh, it is being said, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh, the government will change and the Congress will take over. The poll surveys and projections have been quite decisive. They make comprehensive surveys and produce their reports.

These projections however do not always prove correct. They might not have touched on strong turning points. In previous elections, there was no Modi magic. Probably it will be there in a big way in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chattisgarh. It will not be a surprise if there is a clean "Modi sweep" of all these three states.

Take the case of Karnataka elections. The Congress chief minister of the state was dead certain he would win. Opinion was unanimous that most people in the state supported the Congress party. The BJP emerged as the winner. It turned out it had the large number of seats. The Congress ended up with 77 seats. "Modi magic" had worked there. The same is likely to happen in the five states.

A few more days are there for polls in the five states. The elections will be over in less than three months. "Modi's magic" is working. All political parties have found Narendra Modi has become a formidable threat. "Modi magic" will win and it will sweep all the five states.
