Increasing border violations

Saturday, February 10, 2018

WHAT does Pakistan gain by keeping the border between India and Pakistan in a continuing state of boil. Pakistan undertakes the violation of the ceasefire of LoC every day. It has some favourite spots for carrying out its daily work. It kills or injuries some innocent Indian civilians. It chases our soldiers and plays some war game. India has no go but to retaliate. It expects India to hit back more than it has given. It is disappointed if India does not hit back. If India does not play the game, Pakistan increases the provocations. India certainly does not want to play this deadly game. India would rather have a silent and peaceful border.

Time was when the ceasefire violations used to happen once in a blue moon. That is not the case now. It happens almost everyday and more than once a day. Pakistan welcomes a return of Indian firing. It looks like it reacts strongly if India moves in, chases the Pakistani soldiers, destroys Pakistan's defence posts. It has become clear it is a game Pakistan wants to play. It is by no means a war between India and Pakistan.

The territory of Kashmir has been given to India by legitimate arrangements. India has not grabbed Kashmir. Actually Pakistan has grabbed part of Kashmir. It should return that illegally grabbed territory to India instead of making China make use of it.

India should see whether there is any action on its part that will end terrorism in the region.
