It is easy for a politician to come out with ridiculous charges against his rivals. Rahul Gandhi who has returned from a holiday has made a ten-point charge against prime minister Modi. One of them - a most ridiculous one - is that the PM is being ridiculed all over the world. The prime minister has, in fact, improved the stock of India and earned respect for it. President Obama was won over by the diplomacy of the Indian prime minister. The US is now solidly behind India. The same thing can be said about England, France and some other countries of the world. No prime minister of India of the past has earned friendship from western countries as the PM Narendra Modi, just in two years. The Congress foreign performance during its ten year's rule was not visible.
All sorts of charges have been made by Rahul Gandhi against the prime minister. Direct, false, objectionable charges have been made against him. There are some opposition leaders like Rahul Gandhi — Mamata Banerjee for instance — who are mounting personal attacks against the PM. Mamata made some foul name calling: she described the PM as the cruel Babar, the historical character. One thing can be seen: There is total freedom of expression in the country. There is no "supreme emergency" as claimed by the opposition.
It can be expected that the opposition parties will unite and continue the kind of noisy attacks in Parliament as it did during the winter session. There will be one more wash-out of the House.
