Bright foreign policy

Monday, February 12, 2018

A fast change in the foreign policy of India appears to be taking place. We have never been so close to the United States as now. The Congress, when in power, was close to Russia than to the United States. Now President Donald Trump refers to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as "friend". Along with many countries in the world, India is forming a close, friendly group. The gap between them is closing. All the countries which are with the United State have moved towards India.

A few weeks earlier, Israel became another close friend. Israel was finding it difficult even to open small trade office in India. The Congress party in India kept the Jews away. The party could not go against its friends and let Jews in. It was finally the BJP and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi that got Israel's Netanyahu in. We have become a close friend of Israel now. Israel is deeply involved in trade with us. Jerusalem is another place which has become like a brother to us. The whole of Jerusalem welcomed our prime minister when he went there a few days ago. And Jerusalem honoured the prime minister like it did no other. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been now doing many useful services in foreign countries. We never had such a useful and bright foreign policy before.
