Alliance Govt in Karnataka?

Wednesday, May 16, 2018

The BJP being the single largest party which has got the highest number of seats, 104 has been invited by the governor to form the government. This is opposed by the Congress and the JS(D). There is a procedural and legal issue involved and the final issue will be arrived at soon. The decision may be finally decided by the Karnataka assembly itself. The Congress and the JD(S) are evidently expected to know all about the developments in Karnataka on election day. What the government did was not wrong. The BJP got the highest number of seats and it was not wrong to invite the party to form the government. The Congress had got only 78 and the JDS 38. They announced suddenly that they will form an alliance, they have the majority number and the governor should call them to form the government. It is certain that the future government in Karnataka will be that of the alliance. But the alliance cannot expect to do all things in a hurry. And then, there are certain procedures which had to be followed. Finally, the  coalition of Congress and the JDS will take over in Karnataka.
