Sangeetha Sambrama (Bangalore) in commemoration of Sr Ramanuja Millenium with the support of Ministry of culture, presented a musical dance ballet "Sri Ramanuja Vaibhavam" at ISKCON auditorium in Juhu recently. A multi-media presentation of visuals, elevating and melodious music and dramatic appeal pertaining to the life of the great saint Sri Ramanuja Acharya, casted a lasting impression on the audience.

Sri Ramanuja Acharya was a great saint of the 11th century, who was a temple-builder with universal brotherhood ideology and the progenitor of Neo-vadanists, his philosophy of "Visista Advaitha"is relevant to the contemporary society as well. Based on his philosophy and poetry, the dance ballet "Sri Ramnuja Vaibhavam" throws light on his life, as to how he faced adversity in order to preach and practise universal love and brotherhood in a society which is afflicted with social stigma and prejudices and as to he rose on to become one of the most respected saints of he country.

Concept by Dr P. Rama, script by scholar Devarajan Swamy and dance choreography by Bharata Natyam and Kuchipudi exponent Dr Veena Murthy Vijay, Praveen Kumar and Manognya Balaraju and music by Raghunanadan Ramakrishna, the ballet danced and enacted by 35 performers, created an aesthetic and visual appeal with divinity as the underlying message towards better life based on human values and ethics.

The lead role of the saint was played by Pavankumar S with dexterity and dignity and the other lead roles were played by Harini Shrikanth, Prasanth Sastry, Padmini Jagadeesh and Pulikeshi Kasturi. With the medum English, Hindi Tamil and Kannada, this ballet is being presented in various parts of the country to reach a larger section of the audience and towards better living life styles. Kudos the entire team for this unique and significant presentation.
