With the Bharata Natyam performance in the western suburb of Mumbai, it became quite evident that Guru Nilesh Singha has earned the rare distinction of being one of the youngest mentors to graduate to a higher level as a grand Guru, as it is not only his students, but his student's student have already started performing. One such performance was held at the Aspee auditorium in Malad,

Guru Nilesh Singha is a distinguished Bharata Natyam exponent and teacher and follows the Tanjavur tradition of style and technique, hence is the torch bearer. It was a rare honour and privilege for him to see his grand disciple performing the debut Bharata Natyam. Incidentally, Rithika Kamdar is the disciple of Falguni Jhaveri, who is the disciple ofi Guru Nilesh Singha. After the invocations interpreting Navkar Mantra pertaining to Jainism, the Misram Alarippu was performed by Rithika precisely. While Meenakshi Thaye portrayed the varied aspects of the goddess, the elaborate Varnam featured the larger life-sketch of the devotional saint-poetess who accepted to drink poison with sheer devotion, that turns to nectar, and her marriage with Rana, enhanced dramatic aspect of the performance.

The highlight of the programme was the number featuring Swami Parswanath, Jain Tirthankar who propagated the philosophy of Jainism through righteousness and "dharma" This was sung in Gujarati by Guru Mubina and choreographed by Nilesh Singha. Rithika danced the beautiful Natanam Adinar. Besides Tum Bin Mere, the dancer concluded with Vrindavan Saranga Thillana. Rithika has the potential and talent to do much better.

Rithika received fine orchestral support from Guru Nilesh Singha and Falguni Jhaveri for nattuvangam, mridangam by Venkatesh, violin by Satish Seshadiri and flute by Kumar Kirshnan, talented dancer indeed.
