Inner Edge Converge presented a Kathak recital by talented danseuse Dr Parinita Shah at the Mysore Association Auditorium. The performance was noteworthy for its technical quality and the command over expression dancing.

Dr Parinita Shah is a disciple of the veteran Kathak exponent Asha Joglekar, who expired recently. Parinita  initially trained under the expert guidance of the legendary Smt Ramadevi Lachchu Maharaj of the Lucknow Gharana. Parinita commenced her performance with the incantatory Vandana and proceeded  to perform Teen taal exposing varied footwork patterns pertaining to pure dance patterns. Parinita has a fine control of "Layakari" and "teyyari" as she dances to precision.

Tall, slim and blessed with a pleasing personality, Parinita impressed the audience with her striking footwork to perform different rhythmic patterns which is not an easy task. Her jugalbandi with Pandit Kalinath Mishra on the tabla was well appreciated by the audience, as she was trying to do her best with complete involvement  and devotion.

Parinita has imbibed all the necessary qualities  to become a fine exponent, which is only possible with consistent riyaaz. The Inner Edge Converse has been established with the intention of promoting and propagating Indian classical music and dance through the medium of performances and varied workshops.
