Shivoham Institute of Performing Arts presented the debut Bharatnatyam performance by Krisha Pandit at Veersavarkar auditorium in Shivaji Park. The performance was note worthy for its expressional and vivacious quality and brilliant music.

Shivoham Institute of Performing Arts is headed by accomplished Bharatnatyam exponent Guru Nilesh Singha and Mubina, over the years this dynamic duo has trained several aspirants and some of them have become professionals and won accolades for their performances.

After the invocation to the presiding deities, Krisha performed the traditional 'Allaripu', followed with Swagatam Krishna that highlights the 'Veerarasa' of lord Krishna while battling with serpent Kalia and Karunarasa as he single handedly lifts the Govardhana mountain to protect people. The highlight of the performance was 'Varnam' incorporating lord Vitthala with Marathi composition 'Nij Roop Dakhava Ho' and 'Mauli' compositions that exposes episodes like Gajendra Moksha, Hiranyakashyapu Vadh and Geetopadesha. Besides the dramatic quality this number was elevating due to the singing by Vivek Naik and kudos to Nilesh for the wonderful choreography. While Bho Shambo portrayed lord Shiva and 'tum bin mere' featured Meera bai and Bhagyada Lakshmi featured the goddess, the finale number was Dhanasri Thillana.

Krisha received excellent musical support from Guru Nilesh Singha and Mubina for nattuvangam, vocal by Somia and Vivek Naik, mridangam by Vankatesh ,violin by Satish Seshadri, flute by Kumar Krishnan, moorsing by Shivanand and ghatam by Shankar Narayanan A talented dancer indeed.
