Womens’ Day—rhythmic salute
This international Women’s Day Swarsarita presents ‘Mumbai Fuzikk - A Contemporary Classical Fusion’ in Aid of Urmi Foundation spearheaded by Tabla maestro Aditya Kalyanpur to celebrate the essence of being a woman. The event salutes the dynamic roles of a woman in every walk of life and is dedicated to the aid of Mothers with special children. At Thackeray Auditorium, Sodawala Lane, Borivili (West) on 8th March 8.30 p.m. onwards.

Rang-birangi movie
The teaser and title song of the colourful Marathi film “Shimmgga” music by Pankaj Padghan to be released all over Maharashtra on March 15 was released. The entertaining film is based on “Shimga” (Holi) celebrated with great fervour in Konkan. The movie is written and directed by Nilesh Krishna. Actors Bhushan Pradhan and Rajesh Shrungarpure are seen in lead roles. Besides, Vijay Andalkar, Sukanya Surve and Mansi Pandya are in important roles. The music has been scored by Pankaj Padghan.

Hrithik Roshan’s muhurat clap for Marathi movie
A muhurat of Vikram Phadnis’s upcoming Marathi film “Smile Please” was recently held with Hrithik Roshan giving the first muhurat clap for the film in presence of Mukta Barve, Lalit Prabhakar, Prasak Oak, Aditi Govitrikar, Trupti Khamkar and other top Bollywood artistes. The film title suggests that it will about looking positively at life and living it to the fullest. Like Vikram’s first film “Hrudayantar”, Subodh Bhave and Mukta Barve are in the lead roles in this film. Mega-star Hrithik said, "I had played a small role in Vikram's “Hrudayantar”. I know him as a genuine person and a great director. I am sure “Smile Please” will leave a smile on the viewers’ faces. On the occasion, Vikram Phadnis said "This film's subject is close to my heart. I feel the presence of my mother in the story.”
 
Showcasing Shivshaahi ideals

Instead of showing the shallow love for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by just raising loud chorus slogans, today there is need to uphold his ideals and values. The inspiring film depicting his various major standpoints, 'Chhatrapati Shaasan', is releasing on March 15. Directed by Khushal Mhetre, the film is a production of Utkarsh Kudale, Priyanka Kagle and Khushal Mhetre. This film will rightfully guide today's generation towards the Shivshaahi (Shivaji's rule). Co-Producer Amarbhau Pawar announced that 10 percent of total income of the film will be donated to Indian Army in the wake of Pulwama terror attack.

Marathi movie to be shot in L.A. (U.S.)
The ‘Saibaba Studios” and ‘Samruddhi Cineworld’ have joined hands to produce Marathi film ‘Sukh Mhanje Nakki Kaay Asta’, which will be entirely shot in Los Angeles. Director Samruddhi Porey will be directing the movie. She has already directed sensitive films earlier. Shivkumar said that after producing many successful shows on Hindi television industry, ‘Saibaba Studios’ wanted to do something different in Marathi.
