Reewa Rathod: Blessed by Lata-Didi
Multi-faceted classical and pop singer-pianist Reewa Rathod (daughter of acclaimed singer-duo-couple Sonali and Roop Kumar Rathod) considers herself very fortunate as she has been ‘blessed’ by ‘living legend’ Lata Mangeshkar. “For me Lata-didi is a Goddess of vocal melody and I imbibed from her the importance of understanding of lyrical poetry of whatever you sing,” said charming Reeva speaking to ADC Sr. Correspondent Chaitanya Padukone. With her latest single ‘Saanwal’ being highly appreciated, Reewa is delighted. “It has already crossed 2 million views on YouTube,” shares the singer whose dream is to render playback songs for Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. “While playing the piano is my ‘first love’, horse-riding is also my passion. Just as a racing-jockey controls the galloping horse, even I am in total control of the musical notes,” smiles Reewa who has the backing of Ustad Zakir Hussain and world-famous saxophonist Chris Potter for her musical dreams .

‘Whats App Love’
“Whats App Love”, a Marathi and Hindi bilingual film which seeks to focus on increasing influence of electronic gadgets in our life, is slated to be released on April 5. The film features Rakesh Bapat and Anuja Sathe in lead roles. The film has been written, directed and produced by Hemantkumar Mahale. While running full-speed in today’s world, the people have failed to maintain real relationship and they keep contact only through electronic mode of communication.

Tensions of SSC students
A Marathi film “10 Vee” , which focuses on the trauma associated with SSC examination, will hit the theatres all over Maharashtra on 8th Feb. The film shows a solution way to deal with exam in a positive way. The movie’s story, screenplay and dialogues are penned by Mayur Raut and Piyush Raut, who both have handled the responsibility of directing the film too. It’s been produced and presented by Sudhir Jadhav. Devendra Arora is the co-producer. Arun Chillara.

‘Ready Mix’ now ready
Marathi film “Ready Mix” directed by Jalindar Kumbhar is scheduled to be released on 8 Feb. Veteran actress Asha Patil, who played the role of Dada Kondke in several films, is essaying a role of Vaibhav Tatwawaadi’s grand mother in this film, which is co-incidentally her last film. The comedy film is based on a love story featuring the lead stars Vaibhav Tatwawaadi (Samer), Prarthana Behere (Nupur) and Neha Joshi (Sanika). 'Readymix' also speaks volumes about modern-day love-triangle relationships and love-related complexities. Produced by Prashant-bhau Ghaisas, the star cast includes: Sunil Tawde, Anand Ingle, Neha Shitole, Girish Pardesi, Asha Patil, Rama Nadgauda, Uday Nene and Raju B.
 
Premwaari
Rajendra Gaikwad's much awaited hit-entertainer Marathi film 'Premwaari' featuring Chinmay Udgirkar, Mayuri Kapadane, Abhijit Chavan and Bharat Ganeshpure, which has already created a lot of buzz in social media, will release on 8 February. Written, directed and produced by Gaikwad, 'Premwaari' is touted to be a romance drama set around the topic of unconditional love.
 
Poonam Pandey in Marathi film
A Marathi film “Bhed”, focussing on the topic of love and rebirth, is scheduled to be released on 15 February. The film deals with a love story between two generations. Shyam-Radha and Manali-Bhiwa are the characters which are expected to leave lasting impression on the mind of viewers. The film has 6 songs among which “Kon Shitya Wajvato” has become extremely popular. Hindi actress Poonam Pande is making a debut through one of the songs.
