Sur Sagar- brings strings

‘Maanacha Naarall’ play
A Marathi fund-raising show “Maanacha Naarall”, will be staged by Ashok Dudam and his team, comprising writer Rupesh Dudam, director Rohit and Rupesh at Shivaji Mandir, Dadar at 11am on 3rd February. The money collected will be used for rural developmental work Ashok Dudam has been engaged in welfare work and he had drawn an audience of over 3000 in his first ever show “Nad Pandharicha” a few years back. Then he successfully staged three consecutive shows of “Adrushya Rangkarmi”. This year he has been selected “Lok Kala Puraskari” by the “Maharashtra Lok Kalawant Pratishthan”. The “Naman” is an ancient folk art in which blessings of almighty are invoked.

‘Shiva- Ek Yuva Yodhha’
SGS Films’ Marathi film “Shiva- Ek Yuva Yodhha”, produced by V D Shankaran, Dr Sanjay More and Ganesh Darakh, which seeks to throw light on farmers’ woes and also highlights drug addiction among misguided youth, is slated to be released all over Maharashtra on 15 February 2019. The film stars Siddhant More in and as Shiva. Siddhant was the youngest bodybuilder to achieve a silver medal, at the senior IFBB Asian Bodybuilding Championships in 2015 at Japan, when he was only 19 years old and the first Indian to bag the medal, in Classic Bodybuilding. Besides Siddhant, the film also stars Tanvi Hegde, Yogita Chavan, Milind Gunaji, Prakash Dhotre, Jeet More and Sunil Godbole. It is directed by Vijay Shinde. Screenplay and dialogues are written by Navnath Pawar and cinematography is by Sanjay Kumar Hilli. Music is composed by Aditya Bedekar and editor is Mahanteshwar Bhosge. Lyrics have been penned by Babasaheb Sausagar.

‘Vande Mataram 2019 calendar’
A calendar titled “Vande Mataram 2019” prepared by photographer Tejas Nerurkar was recently launched at the hands of noted director Ashutosh Gowarikar. Nerurkar who has paid tributes to freedom fighters through his calendar said that we only remember 15th August and 26 January in a year and then conveniently forget the sacrifice by our freedom fighters. In fact the sacrifice by our freedom fighters should be always before our eyes. The photos of nearly 26 Marathi artists have been featured in this calendar. They include: Sharad Kelkar, Umesh Kamat, Siddharth Jadhav, Sunil Barve,, Akshay Tansksale, Sonali Kulkarni (Junior), Priya Bapat, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Prajakta Mali, Sai Tamhankar, Neha M, Priyanka B, Pooja Sawant, Urmila K, Shreya B, Hruta D, Tejshri P and Spruha J.

‘Sarva Lines Vyast Aaheth’
A trailer of forthcoming Marathi film “Sarva Lines Vyast Aaheth”, scheduled to be released on first February was recently launched .The story of the film revolves around “Samir”, the only son of his parents. His father predicts that he would go in for “Love Marriage”. His friend “Babya” gives him spicy love tips. The film seeks to communicate that the friendship, flirting, love and marriage make life a roller coaster ride. Samir (Saurav Gokhale) and “Babya” (Siddharth Jadhav) are portraying important roles. A host of glamorous heroines including Sanskruti Balgude, Smita Shewale, Hemangi Kavi, Neeta Shetty-Salvi and Rani Agrawal come in the life of Sameer turn by turn, adding a flavour. Mahesh Manjrekar has played a unique character of “Gadbadebaba”, Pradip Raghumath Mistry has directed the film.
