Jeetendra dances, Bappi-da sings
Veteran Bollywood actor Jeetendra danced merrily to the tune of “Copcha” song with hero Abhay Mahajan, at the music and trailer launch of upcoming Marathi film “Lucky”, slated to released on February 7. The film is co-produced by Sanjay Kukreja. Actors Abhay Mahajan and Dipti Sati are in lead roles in the film directed by Sanjay Jadhav. Noted music director Bappi Lahiri has made a debut as a singer in this film. On the occasion Bappida, said that while he is completing 50 years in the film industry, it is his pleasure to make debut as a playback singer in Marathi film. While commending the film Jeetendra said that the film will certainly get a bumper response from viewers. Tushar Kapoor appreciated tributes given to his father with “Copcha” song. In all the films in “Golmaal' series, my name was “Lucky”, so I relate with film too".

Trailer of ‘Pardhad’ released
A trailer of forthcoming Marathi film “Pardhad” directed by Dnyaneshwar Kundalik Bhosle, slated to be released in April, was recently released at a function held in Pune, in presence of members of the Pardhi community. Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal Chairman, Meghrajraje Bhosle, activist Girish Prabhune and other digitaries were present. The film seeks to present a reality how the VJNT have been deprived of basic necessities like food, clothing and shelter. The cast comprises Dhananjay Mandrekar, Sandesh Jadhav, Chetana Bhat, Kirti Choudhary, Manoj Takne, Deepak Chavan, Sheetal Kalapure, Sonal Ajgaonkar, Nisha Kale in important roles.

Saaz Aur Aawaaz
Borivali Sansrutik Kendra, an organization dedicated to social causes, is celebrating its silver jubilee and India’s Republic Day by organizing Saaz Aur Aawaaz, the concert. Renowned flute wizard Pandit Ronu Majumdar, Sarod Maestro Pt. Debojyoti Bose, Singer Vaishali Made, Tabla Maestro Ajeet Pathak, Pakhawaj Maestro Pt. Govind Bhillare to participate. At Gyan Sagar Ampitheatre, Devidas-ji Road, Borivli (W),at 6.30 pm on January 26. Entry Free.

ICCR sitar concert
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations in collaboration with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Smarak Samiti is presenting a Sitar recital by Sujoy-da Basu from Kolkata followed by Manipuri Dance by Latasana Devi from Mumbai on Wednesday 23rd Janary at Kala Vaibhav,Thackeray Krida Sankul, Vile parle (E), at 6.30 p.m.

‘Mee Pann Sachin’ trailer released
The trailer of Marathi film “Mee Pann Sachin”, with tagline “Don’t stop Chasing Your Dreams” was recently launched on social media. The film is slated to be released on 1st February. The film highlights a bond between a majority of Indians and cricket and features a common youth, who with sheer dedication and hard work, achieves his objective. He resides in rural area but nurses a dream to play at Lords in London. Swapnil Joshi is seen in two roles –the youth and the middle aged man. There are volatile verbal duels between many seasoned artists. Abhijit Khandkekar, Priyadarshan Jadhav, Anuja Sathe-Gokhale, Kalyani Mule, Avinash Narkar and Suhita Thatte are in important roles. Other credits: script and direction- Shreyas Jadhav, Producers-Nita Jadhav and others.
