Young talents shine bright
In collaboration with Sahachari Foundation Events, supported by Rukmani and Kishan Daiya Foundation Udaan: Reach for the Sky Presenting Young Talent to mark Children’s Day week. Sooryagayathri (vocal), Suleiman (bansuri) and Anjali Gaikwad (vocal) at Tata Theatre, November 22, 6.30 pm. A 15-year-old from Amritsar, Suleiman’s tryst with the bamboo flute began at the tender age of three.  A winner of the national contest India’s Got Talent, he now receives training from the world renowned bansuri maestroHariprasad Chaurasia. Anjali Gaikwad is a 12-year-old classical vocalist from Ahmednagar. Entering the competition as a Challenger, she went on to be a joint winner of popular reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 2017.
‘Serva Lines Vyasta Aahet’ launched
The music of comedy Marathi film “Serva Lines Vyasta Aahet” was recently launched all over Maharashtra on 11th Jan. Siddharth Jadhav, Saurabh Gokhalem Sanskruti Balgude, Smita Shevale, Neeta Shetty, Rani Agrawal and others were present. Veteran Mahesh Manjrekar has made a special appearance in the film written and directed by Raghunath Mestri. The music has been scored by Pankaj-Uddhav. A large galaxy of singers who have provided playback include Adarsh Shinde, Saurabh S, Avdhut Gupte, Swapnil Bandodkar, Madhura P, Udhav O, Sagar P, Ankita B and Ragini K.
Mumbai Music connoisseurs will have a unique experience of listening to an energetic musical evening called ‘Classicool’, spearheaded by sitar maestro Purbayan Chatterjee on November 22, 2018 at Nehru Centre at 7.30 pm. Eminent singer Shilpa Rao and Rahul Deshpande will perform with a group of extremely talented musicians namely Purbayan Chatterjee (Sitar), Gino Banks (Percussion), Ojas Adhiya (Tabla), Sangeet Haldipur (Keyboard and vocal) Rhythm Shaw (Guitar) and Aditya Oke (Harmonium) who  will perform together.

Marathi play “Epic Gadbad”
A Marathi farcical drama “Epic Gadbad” written and directed by Makarand Deshpande is being staged on November 27 “Epic Gadbad” has already been a rage in Hindi. Now it is being presented in Marathi by Abhijit (Shivaji) Satam and Makarand Deshpande. The drama deals with the story of a prospective bride, whose parents want her marriage to be performed with historical background. But other people enter the scene at the eleventh hour, creating confusion. This is the first time that Makarand is making a foray into Marathi theatre. Abhijit and his team which has presented popular plays like “Mister and Mrs”, “Strawberry” and “Ek Shoonya Teen”, is expected to deliver its best in “Epic Gadbad”. Ankit Mhatre, Ninad Limaye, Akanksha Gade, Madhuri Gawli and many others are in important roles.
‘Aaron’ --first all-international Marathi movie
“Aaron”- a Marathi movie directed by Omkar Ramesh Shetty, shot extensively in Paris and in a small village in Maharashtra, is slated to hit cinema houses Pan-India on 7th December 2018. The film is GNP Film's presentation, produced by Girish Pawar, Kausthubh Latke and Avinash Aher. It features Shashank Ketkar, 'Poshter Girl' fame Neha Joshi and 'Umbutoo' fame child actor Atharv Padhye. Bengali superstar Swastika Mukherjee is debuting in Marathi films with Aaron. Aaron is a French word which means 'elevated high mountain' or 'bearer of martyrs'. The film has been named “Aaron” because of the fact that the major portion of the story happens in France. Apart from France, the movie has a connection with five countries. i.e. Canada, Hungary, Romania, Israel and of course India. Aaron's Art director is from Romania, DOP is from Hungary and Creative Producer is from Israel. Likewise the movie has actors from Canada, France and India.
