On the eve of R D Burman's birth anniversary (today-June 27) acclaimed National Award-winning docu-filmmaker Brahmanand Siingh announced his next online web-series 'The Pancham Legacy', which unravels the mystique 'khazaana' of the legendary composer-singer. A galaxy of Bollywood luminaries including suave star-singer Sonu Nigam, eminent composers Lesle Lewis, Shantanu Moitra, Sandesh Shandilya, Shamir Tandon, producer Viveck Vaswani, noted senior film-journalist Chaitanya Padukone (author of R D BurMania book), vivacious singers Shibani Kashyap and Nandini Srikar shared their valuable insights and inputs on R D Burman, as an innovative composer and exuberant human being. The outspoken Sonu recalled that he had the privilege to meet Pancham-da and was being considered for rendering playback for '1942-A Love Story'. “It's my misfortune that things didn't work out, as I was away in Delhi,” he regretted even as he complimented Brahmanand for his 'Pancham-centric teleology'.
