Soulful sitar strings
A sitar-playing live concert featuring Sweekar Katti, a talented young artiste of this generation in 'SurSagar – A rising star every month', at Sri Shanmukhnanda Padma Ranga Chamber Music Hall (2nd Floor), Sion, on Friday June 8, 7.30 pm onwards. Entry is FREE for the concert on first come first served basis.

The 'Raykar Academy of Violin', which is the brainchild of the ace violinist Milind Raikar, will offer a tribute to the Violin Guru Pt D.K. Datar at a program organised at the Ravindra Natya Mandir in Prabhadevi on Sunday, June 10 at 10.00 am. Enter free for a group violin performance by students of Milind Raikar, followed by vocal recitals by Asha Khadilkar and Shrinivas Bhimsen Joshi.

‘Trushart’ set to release this week
Marathi film 'Trushart' is all set to release this Friday. The movie is about a woman who sacrifices her whole life to keep her family intact facing certain cruel situations of life. Until her last breath she struggles to get respect and love from her family, which she deserves. The story revolves around a couple Krishna and Bhaurao. The film unfolds the relation between the couple and their children. Directed by an award-winning director Arun Mavnoor, this film stars Jyoti Nivadunge, Mahesh Rajput, Amul Bute, Dilip Potnis, Vrinda Bal, Dr. Jadav, Nilangi Revankar, Yogita Chaudhary, Milisha Jadav and Chandrakant Mitbawkar.

Cine-Buster celebrations event
Business magnate and media publisher-editor Ronnie Rodrigues has hosted a star-studded first anniversary event tonight of his popular fortnightly magazine 'Cine Buster'. Creating cinematic history, Ronnie will unveil their iconic Marathi Cine and TV Awards trophy which is crafted with Hallmark gold and studded with real VVS diamonds. While the Hindi edition of 'Cine Buster' will also be launched tonight, the Marathi Awards event is proposed to be held in October. A galaxy of A-List Hindi and Marathi film and TV stars would be mingling with each other at this 'classy cultural cocktail celebration'.
