‘Lakagna Mubar’ music launched
A trailer and music of the new Marathi film 'Lagna Mubarak' slated to be released on May 11 was recently launched. It is a love story set in the backdrop of communal strife. Due to a communal dispute, there is a shocking twist in the beautiful journey of a young couple, who ultimately find eternal love. The film produced by Gauri Pathak, has been directed by Chetan Chawda and has noted director Sanjay Jadhav making his debut as an actor through this film. Prarthna Behere, Sanskruti Balgude, Astad Kale, Pravin Tarade, Milind Dastane, Ramesh Pardeshi, Devendra Gaikwad, Vandana Vaknis, Amarnath Kharade, Parth Ghatge and Chetan Chawda are playing important roles. Veteran actor Mahesh-bhau Manjrekar is playing a special role.

Sanskruti Kala honours
Veteran actor Ramesh Bhatkar was given the “Kala Gaurav” pursakar at the 18th Sanskruti Kaladarpan award ceremony to theatre, cinema, TV artistes at a colourful function in Mumbai. Bhatkar was felicitated by Ashok Saraf, Mahesh Kothare and Sachin Pilgaonkar by giving a scroll of honour, a memento and a shawl. The drama-plays “Sangeet Devbabhali” and “Ananya” came off with flying colours, while the film “Palshichi P.T.” made its distinct mark. The TV serial, “Nakallat Sare Ghadle” adjudged as the best serial. Atul Parchure and Siddarth Chandekar anchored the ‘live’ program in their inimitable style. Other awards included Special prize-Statue of Liberty” (play), “Kachha Limbu” (film), “Muramba: (special jury award), Nupur Parulekar and Harish Dudhade, the best actress and actor from TV serials and Niranjan Patki (best director of a TV serial).
