After a successful year of presenting talented young artiste of the generation in ‘SurSagar’ – A rising star every month, the second year begins with the melodious and soulful notes by a very talented flautist, Ashwin Srinivasan, at Sri Shanmukhnanda Hall, 2nd Floor, Sion, Mumbai on Friday, April 13, 7.30 pm onwards. Entry is FREE for concert on first come first basis.

'Prayaag 2018' a festival of colourful classical dances at P L Deshpande Mini Theatre  Dancers: Namrata Mehta, Shreya Sabharwal,Vaidehi Rele and Pooja Pant will give Odissi, Bharatnayam and Kathak performances: Interpretation of Radha Radhe by senior exponents: Shubhada Varadakar (pictured), Uma Dogra and Sandhya Purecha.
On April 13 and 14 at 7.30pm. Entry is free

Romcom
The muhurat of Dream Launcher Entertain ment’s Marathi film 'Romcom' was y held in Mumbai at the hands of Milind Gawali and Kishor Kadam. The film, based on a love story of Rahul and Suman, is being produced by Sachin Shinde. Ashok Shinde, Swati Pansare and Mrudula Vaibhav are in the lead roles. Chhaya Kadam, Sarang Doshi and Madhura Vaidya are  debuting through this film. Other credits are: Co-Producer-Sushil Sharma, Director-Gorakh Jogdande, Creative Head-Mridula Vaibhav, Costume-Sheetal Pawaskar, Cinematograohy- Aniket Kajanjkar and Music by Sajan Patel

Get set for the 7th edition of ‘Sindhu Classical Dance Festival’, a distinguished 3-day dance festival organised by 'Sankhya Dance Company.' The event is being held on April 13-18. It’s a signature festival that celebrates classical dance with its ideologies, Started with the motive of imparting the joy of classical dance forms, the festival is spearheaded and curated by the creative duo Vaibhav Arekar and Sushant Jadhav. Many renowned and honoured artists like Rina Devi and troupe, Vaibhav Arekar, Sujata Nair, Ashim Bandhu and Troupe will be part of this prestigious festival.

Jashn-e-Husn: A Musical Tribute to Womanhood
Art and beauty are closely connected and the Hindi film music has been enthralling generations. Veteran songstress Rani Verma and Sister Concern Entertainment, have come out with a musical programme 'Jashn-e-Husn', a poetic celebration of woman's beauty through iconic songs of Hindi films. The show began on grand scale on March 8, International Women’ Day. The second show will be held at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi (April 13, 8 pm), followed by third show at Doctor Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha, Ghodbunder Road, Thane (April 15, 8.30 pm). Shlok Chaudhary, Srirang Bhave, Jyotika Sharma, Archana Gore, Manish and Navin Tripathi will present melodious songs.

Vocal artistry
NCPA Promising Artistes Series Chintan Upadhyay (dhrupad) Prajakta Marathe Bicholkar (khayal) at Little Theatre on Friday, April 13 at 6.30 pm. Prominent among the various initiatives undertaken by NCPA are two schemes: Support to Gurus and Scholarships to Young Musicians. These programmes are in the field of Hindustani vocal (dhrupad and khayal) and instrumental music (melody and percussion instruments). In this event, there will be a dhrupad recital by Chintan Upadhyay, followed by a khayal recital by Prajakta Marathe Bicholkar.
