'Kaman Durg Nrutyotsav'
As per annual tradition, 'Kaman Durg Devkudi Nrutyotsav' was organised at Kaman in Vasai, by the Anjali Bharat Natyam Research Trust and Girijaram Welfare Foundation, in which participants vied with each other to present exotic dances and other cultural events. The festival witnessed various dance forms including the Tarpa dance, Mohini Attam, Kathak and Manipuri dance. The participants also enthralled the viewers with disciplined and well tuned lezim exercises. Karate Master Gagan Jwala, Kathak Guru Pavloni Mukherjee, Dr. Sunil Shekhra and others contributed immensely to the program. The boys from Tepacha Pada stunned everyone by presenting a hip hop dance, based on patriotism. A dance based on 'Sur Niragas Ho' (Marathi film 'Katyar Kaljat Ghusali' was the highlight of the festival.

Grand Finale of ‘Sur Navaa…’
Sharayu Date, Prasanjit Kosambi, Nihira Joshi-Deshpande, Aniruddha Joshi and Vishwajit Borwankar reached the Grand Finale round of the Marathi musical contest TV soap 'Sur Nava Dhyas Nava' being aired on Colors (Marathi) every week – Monday to Wednesday. In the program which began with participation of 15 seasoned singers, viewers as well as participants went through the long journey of entertainment and experience. Now the winner will be selected by tvoting for which the viewers can vote through a Facebook Poll or through a Missed Call on phone. The codes of the participants are: Vishwajit Borwankar -1800 532 7711; Sharayu Date - 1800 532 7712; Nihira Joshi-Deshpande - 1800 532 7713.

Teaser of ‘Farzand’ launched
The Marathi film 'Farzand', based on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s struggle to establish Swarajya, is scheduled to be released all over Maharashtra on May 11, 2018. The first teaser of the film was released on the auspicious day of 'Gudi Padwa'. The film is directed by Digpal Lanjekar. The music is by Amitraj, while Adarsh Shinde and Vaishali Samant have sung the songs. The art director is Nitin Chandrakant Desai.

Girish-bhai ki daulat-e-daastaan
This unique vaarta-kahaani is about an old man named, Girishbhai Shah, who lives somewhere in Mumbai. His wife Gauriben has passed away a few years back. Girishbhai is now retired and has a son named, Ronak. Ronak just got married to Geetaben who is very ambitious in her lifestyle. Due to the ambition to become rich in a short while, Ronak has chosen his way to daily share-bazaar trading, in which, Himmatbhai (Geeta’s father) guides him.

Due to his wayward dealing, Ronak loses  the provident fund of Girishbhai. Even the creditor (Bablubhai) has threatened Ronak that he will get the possession over the house legally or illegally. There is one funny character of a servant named, Bhago. Bhago is serving this family from  childhood. He and Girishbhai are like baap-beta to each other. There is good chemistry between Girishbhai and Giraben. Suddenly, Girishbhai gets sick with a psychological disorder. There is also another twist wherein Ronak comes to know about Girishbhai having land worth several crores. To know all the answers, we have to enjoy this paisa-vasool drama named, ‘Bapa Ni Maher To Dikara Ne Laher’. Directed, produced and acted by Jaideep-bhai Shah. Premiere Show: Thursday March 29, 9.00 pm at the Prabodhan Thackeray Hall, Borivali (W).
