Kale’s vocal concert
Mahesh Kale is back in Mumbai to enthral the music connoisseurs by singing different genres of music from classical to Natyasangeet and Ghazal to Bhaktisangeet in a concert titled 'Mahesh Kale –Live in Concert' scheduled on Friday at Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai at 7 pm. He will be accompanied by an orchestra of noted stalwart musicians.

Celebrating feminine beauty
Versatile Kathak danseuse, Gauri Diwakar along with her troupe, will present Mugdha, a celebration of beauty and womanhood. Over the centuries, Radha has symbolised beauty and eternal love. Her love for Krishna can be felt in the unending quest of this beauty and truth. It is a journey of this experience of eternal love that can be transformative, in which the beauty of Radha goes beyond mere physicality and her soul lies bare. The NCPA presentation will be held at Experimental Theatre on Friday at 7.00 pm.

Veteran Chandrashekar turns 95!
Retro-cinema music lovers still love to watch the evergreen song ‘Laagi chhute na, ab toh sanam’(1959), picturised on yesteryear popular actor Chandrashekhar, who recently turned 95 years ‘young’. A homely birthday private party was convened by the veteran actor’s dynamic producer son Ashok Shekhar, who now runs an events and celeb management company. The event was attended by well-wishers and close relatives like Chandrashekhar's  actor-anchor grandson suave Shakti Arora and invitee guests including mimicry celeb-artistes Sunil Pal and Ehsaan Qureshi, publisher Ronnie Rodrigues, film distributor Shyam Shroff an vivacious Bollywood actresses Aarti Gupta and Pooja Pathak. “It was a memorable evening spent with such a legendary actor,” recalled Aarti.

Trailer of ‘Kacchha Limboo’
‘Kaccha Limboo’ shot in sepia tone releasing next month, directed by actor Prasad Oak takes us into the world of Katdares. Set in the 80s, it is the sttory of a couple who have a mentally retarded child. Husband Katdare works only night shifts while Shailaja works for a private firm. How this couple who is on the verge of getting lost in the quagmire of their circumstances, fight their way back to sanity and togetherness is the crux. The film stars director Ravi Jadhav-in his first acting role along with Sonali Kulkarni, Sachin Khedekar, Manmeet. Prem, Anant Mahadevan, Uday Sabnis etc.

Acharya’s ‘Bhikari’ sings as well
The second song of Ganesh Acharya’s ‘Bhikari’ was released in the presence of the entire cast and crew along with their mothers who were the special guests of yesterday morning. The song ‘Magu Kasa’ highlights the importance of mothers in our lives. The film stars Swapnil Joshi, debutant Rucha Adarkar, Sayaji Shinde. Milind S Kirti A, Guru T and Pradeep Kabra with music by Vishal Mishra.
